Jotel I-CMTS (8.2014.)

After a large number of successfully completed implementation of the classic CMTS system (1.1, 2.0, 3.0) based on the Cisco CMTS platform ubr7200 and M-CMTS UBR10k system, team who is in charge of DOCSIS solutions had a new challenge.

One of the leading cable operators in Serbia and certainly a leading operator in the Nis region, the company Jotel due to the increasing number of users and services in their network had to expand the total capacity of the device CMTS (uBR7246VXR) or to replace the existing device platform UBR10K with another platform with much greater capacity. Suggestion of  Network Manager’s engineers was to realize I-CMTS DOCSIS 3.0 system based on Cisco UBR10K platform.

After a well-defined requirements and necessary functionality provided by engineers at Jotel, our team had prepared device configuration and completed simulation in the test environment, and then system was successfully put into operation.
